Join us on your own in the effort to cleanup our environment. With winter passing, there are many opportunities for us to come together and keep our city clear of clutter. In consideration to the recent changes in our daily lives, we provide the option to do your part and volunteer on your own. Arrange personal cleanup activities where you can feel safe and aid us in our garbage cleanup, on your own. Record your progress, take before and after photos with how much garbage you've collected, and tell us where you've made a change! Here is our new forum for individual participation: https://www.betterenvironmentscanada.org/forum/individual-participation Be sure to adhere to safety protocols - Use your gloves and masks (thick work gloves work much better). Practice mandated social distancing respectively. We recommend long sleeves and pants in cases you may come in contact with bushes and other obstacles. Safety glasses, eye protection, sunglasses on sunny days with some sun screen goes a long way. Good shoes are necessary, be aware of possible glass and clutter that may puncture through soles. High-visibility vests or reflective material is ideal, especially when working closely to roads. And, of course, garbage bags for your cleanups! Thank you so much for your efforts keeping our community safe. We appreciate your help.
